The communication in the brain is also quite unique. Within the brain there are multiple different forms of communication that often correlate to different senses and feelings. For example, the brain can interpret signals based on their speed, inter-spike time, parallel spikes, or just single neurons for each value. Although this may be hard to comprehend all these different factors can communicate different feelings, emotions, and feelings to the brain; all in a digital format. This digital format is where one place we see some overlap between brains and AI. When people have thoughts they tend not to think that they are digital because of all the new technology available. Its hard to think that not only our language is digital but also how we think, feel, and act based on our feelings. All of these are communicated to thought through a highly technical digital technology that is embedded into all of out DNA. Learning objective 2 asks what it is to be digital. In an essence being digital just means to have limited means of communication. This makes things clear and easy to understand. Like our letters, we all know that there are 26 letters in the alphabet, this makes it digital. Because there is a limited amount of symbols, this makes it digital. If there were to be an unlimited amount of letters, there would be no communication. This stands the same for neural networks. Although their language is far different from any human language, they are spoken to through codes. These codes are limited just like our DNA, although it is impossible to map out. We are surrounded by digitized objects everyday, but we often think of it as futuristic tech.
